Why People Choose Kiowa

There's a reason so many people are looking beyond the city and toward communities like Kiowa.

For some, it's the opportunity to own acreage and finally have space for horses, livestock, a workshop, or simply room to spread out. For others, it's the slower pace of life, the strong sense of community, and the ability to enjoy Colorado's beauty without feeling crowded.

Kiowa offers a unique balance. You can enjoy quiet country living while still being within reasonable driving distance of Elizabeth, Parker, Castle Rock, and the Denver Metro area. Many residents appreciate having access to city conveniences while coming home to open skies, peaceful evenings, and a community where people still know their neighbors.

Hi, I'm Chelsea — born and raised on the Eastern Plains, and still here.

My grandparents farmed and ranched in Deer Trail. My mom ran an agricultural radio network covering commodity prices across Colorado. Rural living isn't something I discovered — it's something I grew up in, and it's the life my family and I still choose today. We live on acreage in Kiowa, my husband Drew coaches and serves on the school board, and our roots here run about as deep as they get.

That background matters when you're buying or selling rural property. Wells, septic systems, propane, fencing, county regulations — I don't know these from a checklist. I live with them, as a homeowner and a neighbor. When a buyer moving from Denver asks what rural life is really like, I tell them the truth, because I'm already living it.

I specialize in acreage, horse properties, and rural homes across the Eastern Plains, and I help Denver Metro families make that move to small-town Colorado. I also work throughout the Metro for clients selling a city home to fund their next chapter out here.

Before I was a Realtor, I spent years as a transaction coordinator — learning every clause, every deadline, and every place a deal can quietly fall apart. My clients don't get surprised at closing.

I've been voted Best of the Best in Elbert County. But what I'm proudest of is simpler: clients who send me their friends and family, because they trusted me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Helping people find a slower pace and a little more space.
